Emergency Care

The clinic does NOT contain an Emergency Room or an Urgent Care Center, however, clinic personnel may respond to medical emergencies on base. The clinic relies on local Japanese facilities or the Naval Hospital for all higher levels of emergency care and will transport patients to an appropriate facility immediately when necessary.

Contact your primary care manager within 24 hours or the next business day after you receive emergency care.
 

Patient Services

  • Primary Care Manager (PCM) for all Active Duty and dependents. Open Monday - Friday by appointment only.
  • Available for walk-in acute cases, 24-hours, 7 days a week.
  • Provides hearing tests and evaluations, hearing aides, and many other services to all members of the community, including children.
  • Available for flight physicals, eye exams, and other exams.
  • Provides specialty services to children from birth to age twenty one. Developmental screenings available upon request.
  • Offers a variety of classes and counseling on health-related topics.
  • Provides eye exams, corrective lens and other optometric services; it is staffed by a full-time optometrist.
  • Prescription refills available by phone (243-4689) or by registering online.
  • Provides an extensive range of physical therapy treatment. Appointment by Referral Only; please contact your PCM.
  • Available for a wide variety of functions on a appointment basis.

Health Promotions

We offer individual, group or family COUNSELING on the following topics:

  • Tobacco cessation
  • Healthy weight loss
  • Healthy weight gain
  • Cholesterol optimization
  • High blood pressure reduction
  • Diabetes care and prevention
  • Nutrition in pregnancy

Health Promotion & Wellness

The mission of the Health and Wellness program is to promote health and fitness through awareness, programs and services offered to military personnel, family members, civilians and other eligible beneficiaries in the Community. 
Regularly offered classes, services, trainings, and presentations can be arranged virtually through the core facility, US Naval Hospital Yokosuka's Regional Health Promotion & Wellness Department or through your local HP Coordinator. 

We offer individual or group counseling and services on the topic of Tobacco Cessation, Weight Management, Nutrition Coaching, and the ShipShape Program.  The HPW Program offers various other Health & Wellness Activities & Classes throughout the year.
