The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.
If you have a scheduled appointment or other business at the MTF, please verify with your provider or applicable office within the MTF to ensure there are no changes in schedule. To learn how the lapse in appropriations affects your TRICARE benefit, visit

Health Services

Optometry Clinic 

Optometry is the primary care of the ocular world. Our optometry team determines refractive error and diagnoses, treats, and manages ocular conditions. 

Services are available to all beneficiaries (ages 3 and up): active duty service members, retirees, government civilians, and family members. Please contact the clinic directly to book your appointment today.   

Patients needing to order glasses (if prescription is less than two years old) or needing to repair military glasses don’t need appointments and are welcome to walk in during normal clinic hours.

  • Routine eye exams 
  • Diabetic eye exams 
  • DMV screenings (If no health assessment required) 
  • Military physical screenings (Shore Commands, Failed Ship Screenings, or health assessment required) 
  • Ordering glasses and protective mask inserts (Active duty and retirees only) 
  • Contact lens renewals (No first-time fittings provided)
