How to Make an Appointment

Routine X-ray

We provide routine x-ray studies on a walk-in basis. After your provider orders an x-ray, wait 15 minutes for the order to populate, then check in at the radiology front desk. Orders are only valid for 30 days. After 30 days you’ll need to see your provider again.

CT and Fluoroscopy

You need an appointment for CT and Fluoroscopic studies.

Ultrasound

You need an appointment for ultrasound studies. We schedule anatomy exams for pregnant patients at 20-22 weeks gestational age. Call and make an appointment as soon as your OB places the order to make sure we schedule you in this window.

Mammogram

The American College of Radiology recommends women over 40 receive annual screening mammograms. If you have a high risk of breast cancer due to family history or genetics, talk to your primary care provider for the most up-to-date recommendations on screening.
There are two types of mammograms:
  1. Screening – a routine breast exam for women over 40
  2. Diagnostic – done when a patient has a particular breast concern, history of abnormal findings, or previous cancer diagnosis
Scheduling a screening mammogram:
You can call and request an appointment if you have an established primary care provider and prior mammogram images. Call the front desk or the mammogram tech directly at DSN: 315-243-3964
If you had images taken at another facility, bring those images and reports if you have them.
Scheduling a Diagnostic Mammogram:
Your primary care provider must put in a new order. This is important because it allows your provider to carefully track your results and closely evaluate your options with you. Reach out to the mammogram tech if you have questions or discuss them with your primary care provider.
Space Available Walk-ins:
Occasionally the mammography clinic will hold walk-in/space available days for members of the Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka community. We advertise these events in advance through social media and flyers on base.

CD Drop Off / CD Requests

For image requests, fill out the ‘Release of Information’ form at our front desk.
You can drop off all CD upload requests at our front desk during normal working hours.
We only hold CDs for 90 days. Please return to get your CD within 90 days. If you can’t return in 90 days, call to ask for an extension.

Referrals for Radiology Services We Don’t Provide
